Wideye enters its first mass production by end 2023 and continues its global expansion
Since 2016, Wideye has been totally focused on autonomous vehicle ecosystems with the vision of enabling ADAS deployment to help make fully autonomous driving a reality.
With a growing number of nomination programs covering its main product categories, the time is coming for Wideye to deliver its first committed SOP. Wideye is preparing for mass production ramp-up of a unique glass module specially designed to enable the integration of LiDAR sensors in the roofline of the vehicle.
With the rooftop mount set to go increasingly mainstream in the near term thanks to its elevated position, Wideye is delighted it has succeeded in the encapsulation of a LiDAR unit in an all-glass roof, proving that this kind of integration delivers the perfect compromise between performance and design.
For this integration, Wideye used its unique glass which is transparent to the near infrared spectrum with high optical quality.

AGC paves the way to improved driving safety with innovative windshields
AGC has developed the world's first(*) FIR sensor-enabled windshield for vehicles, an innovation that is expected to enhance driving safety. Integrating FIR sensors into ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) compensates for the limitations of visible light sensors, while sensor fusion technology merges data from both systems to vastly improve visibility. Ultimately, AGC aims to use its experience and knowledge to eliminate all pedestrian traffic fatalities.

FeelInGlass® is further nominated for display glass supply
Our FeelInGlass® division, with its breakthrough vison, offers innovative glass solutions for incoming uses, such as decorative trims, display covers or smart surfaces. This year again, our experts visited and exhibited at several major events, especially in the USA for CES and in Europe at IAA to introduce the scope of their decorative glass, FeelInspiration, shaped into an exclusive concept, the GlassInMotion demonstrator.
In line with the development of its activities, FeelInGlass® is further nominated for display glass supply, in partnership with key display players worldwide (Europe, China, etc.). This step forward brings more reliability for its partners and establishes the position of FeelInGlass® as automotive-proven solution. As a result, nominations for this solution were granted for models to be launched as of 2025 onwards in Europe and in Asia.

AGC glass antennas help mobility industry adopt better connectivity
As the importance of CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Services, Electric) increases, the automotive industry has to rethink mobility to keep up with the ever-changing needs of society. Reliable connectivity is crucial to this end.
The 5G services became commercially available in Japan in 2020, and the emergence of CASE will push related industries to develop technology that provides higher performance and more reliable wireless communication for vehicles.
As a leading manufacturer of glass antennas since their inception, AGC is dedicated to innovation to meet the changing demands of the mobility industry in the CASE era.
AGC has developed glass antennas for Sub6 band radio frequencies used in 5G networks.
